Masterpiece Laser was created by Wood Artist Paul Szewc of Guelph, Ontario, Canada who makes uniquely handcrafted items out of natural hardwoods. He believes in quality and uniqueness. He likes to stand out from the rest.
Paul sells at many art and craft shows during the year. After building kitchens for over 25 years Paul decided to build fun stuff. He built his own gallery on the premise where he lives. He believes in walking to work. His gallery is nestled in the quiet countryside on the outskirts of Guelph.
Masterpiece Lasered Wood Ltd. at 7100 Fife Rd. is a dream of master cabinetmaker Paul Szewc (pronounced “Chefs”) whose reputation as a craftsman is well known throughout North America.
Contemporary and traditionally designed furniture is situated among sculpture and paintings in the 2,400 square foot gallery, which opened 2008, built from materials harvested on-site or reused from the renovation.
“I describe my furniture as organic because I take a slice of out of a tree to make it as natural as possible,” Paul said. “I turn defects into assets.”
