Item description
(internal #S249-41) You are bidding on this 2" long, Megalodon fossil SHARK TOOTH (technically an Angustidens closely related to the megalodon). Tooth is silver wired, on 20" long necklace with Turquoise cylinder beads 12x8 mm and Hematite cylinder beads 6x4 mm, silver alloy barrel twist closure.
Nice tooth, minimal serrations.
Awesome treasure for guy or gal. Comes with information card.
The Megalodon dates to 25 million years ago and was 40-100 feet in length, their teeth average 2 to 7" in length; this tooth was found while diving in one of South Carolina rivers (St. Mary?s, St, Johns or Cooper River).
