Item description

Some years ago I bought basement stored inventory from an import/gift shop that had been in business for quite some time. There was a small selection of silver jewelry with similar motifs and some identical pieces were marked as "Siam"; these lack the Siam indication and at the time I got them a few had paper "Made In Thailand" stickers attached but those are either sold or the stickers gone. All this places the group to sometime around 1950. The name was officially changed (restored) in 1949. These are marked as .925 Sterling. This can be considered as NOS ("New, Old Stock") there is no damage or wear. There is light tarnish that would clean off very quickly. The blacking is a silver treatment not enamel, some has gotten onto the inside. (It is really a simply process, if you dab some heated sulfur solution on silver it turns black, it can be polished off if desired but it sets the design off). Ring size is adjustable and as you can see as made they are the size of a penny in diameter. The front flanges show the artwork in vertical mirror form i.e. each are upside down to the other. Very nice authentic period item. You would expect to pay the same or more for a new ring of this style which would devalue instantly, whereas this will hold its' value and improve.
