Item description

From Anchor Hocking, this is a vintage Fire King loaf pan in the "Spring Wreath" pattern. Solid white milk glass with a brightly colored design of flowers in red, blue and yellow. It is numbered 409 and has a 1 qt capacity, measures 9" X 5.25" (not including the handles) and 2.5" deep. This is a fairly hard-to-find pattern and I couldn't find a lot about its history; the block lettering in the "FIRE-KING" mark would indicate it was made in the 1940s, but I've read that "Made in U.S.A." (which also appears) was added in 1951. In any case, it's quite old, and it is in absolutely fabulous condition, so it's a special find in that regard. There are no chips or cracks, of course, and no scratches or discoloration or even any signs of use at all. The cheery flower design is fully intact with no paint loss. I would say it actually still looks like new, even at 70 years or older. A beautiful piece to add to your collection, or to show off in your vintage kitchen. It would look darling with farmhouse or country decor, too! Asking $14.00 obo. Everything I have listed for sale is "or best offer", so feel free to make an offer. ~~~~~ ALL ITEMS ARE AVAILABLE FOR LOCAL PICKUP. I sell a huge variety of stuff to supplement my income and help me put the last of my kids through college. Some items come from flea markets or estate sales, and some come from around our home, but many items come to me from my extended family of hardcore hoarders. So, the variety really can be vast and unpredictable. Please check back often, because you really never know what I will have from one day to the next! Thanks for visiting and have a great day!
