Item description
ROUND ROCK EXPRESS Wooden Train Whistle
The Round Rock Express are a class Triple-A Pacific Coast League minor league baseball team in Round Rock, Texas, owned by RSR Sports and founded by Reid Ryan, son of Baseball Hall of Famer Nolan Ryan.
More than a century and a quarter before the world was introduced to the Round Rock Express baseball team, Triple-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, the International and Great Northern Railroad brought trains to Round Rock, Texas. The railroad industry changed the face of the city forever. RSR Sports is named for its principals, Hall of Fame pitcher Nolan Ryan, business person Don Sanders, and Nolanโs son Reid Ryan. The Express name comes from Nolan Ryan, who is one of the principal owners and he was the Ryan Express when he was playing. Thereโs also a train that runs right by the stadium, so it was a natural fit. With a name that draws from baseball royalty and a logo that explores their hometownโs ties to the railroad industry, the Round Rock Express have a strong logo and two converging backstories that make it one of the more fun identities in the minors.
The whistle is complete and in VERY GOOD used condition.
