This OEM part is a control board for refrigerators. The control board is responsible for the main functions of the refrigerator including cooling and defrost times. If the refrigerator is no longer cooling efficiently or failing to maintain temperature, the control board might need to be replaced. Thankfully, replacing this part is not a difficult process.To replace the old control board, make sure that all power to the refrigerator is turned off. Open the refrigerator door and remove the door panel of the interior of the refrigerator. Locate the old control board and remove the wire harnesses that connect to it. Take note of the wire connector's orientation and reinsert the wires to the new board. Snap the new board back in place and reinstall the inner panel. This genuine replacement part is compatible with Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Sears/Kenmore brand refrigerators.
