This photograph is ?tipped? onto the cover above the title ?CHANEL JOAILLERIE?. The vellum overlay invitation is for the preview of the ?LES BAGUES?, ?The Rings?, exhibition of Fine Jewelry, which reflected COCO CHANEL?s love of design and her fascination with complication. It was held at the CHANEL Fine Jewelry floor of the CHANEL building at No 15 East 57th Street, in New York City. The photograph depicts one of the rings which inspired this ring exhibition, as well as depicting an intricately detailed gold case. This invitation folder, with it?s tipped on photograph, is printed on a heavy water color paper, and is of archival quality, cover weight stock. The invitation is printed on a single sheet of substantial vellum, and is inserted into the folder. This invitation comes complete was a special matching envelope, with the iconic Lion?s Head blind embossed logo. This is a lovely production piece and is quite suitable for framing.. It was produced and printed for the U.S. market, in strictly limited quantities. A great soon-to-be vintage item, never to be produced again. In excellent mint condition, showing no damage what-so-ever on all but the outer envelope. The outer envelope shows signs of use on the back flap, and has a cancelled stamp on the top right corner of the front. The address label has been removed. Please see photographs.
