Offered here is this Beautiful Antique Cross Cut Oak High Back Side Chair. The chair is made of solid oak with a crosscut style that creates gorgeous grain, particularly in the twist of the legs. The chair once has caning on the back in the center, but this is completely gone, and needs to be redone. The bones of this chair, however, are exquisite. The finish is in particularly good condition, with only the smallest surface wear and some exceptionally light surface scratches. The seat board is with the chair, and is covered in some fabric, however, the seat will need to be upholstered, and reattached to the chair. The original woven support on the bottom of the seat is still present. The chair is 40.5” tall at the top of the back, 18” high at the seat, about 18” wide across the front of the seat, about 15” wide across the back of the seat, 15.5” deep at the seat, 16” deep total. This is a beautiful crosscut oat side chair, with gorgeous detail and grain. It would be a nice finishing project for someone, and would look amazing in any antique furniture collection.
