Item description

Fabulous antique stoneware jug with incised lettering in cobalt blue that says JOHN NAGLE, 209-233 FEDERAL STREET, BOSTON, which of course, is Boston, Massachusetts. The jug has a wonderful finish and looks to be a one gallon. It's in great condition. It appears someone scraped an area on the handle, which you can see in one of the photos. A felt bottom was applied years ago to protect furniture. This is a deep red and shows quite a bit of age. The jug measures approximately 11" tall and was purchased from a collection.
