Item description

VTG ATQ Hand Painted Japanese Kutani Sugar Bowl W Lid Moriage Geisha Gardens. This vintage/antique Japanese, footed sugar bowl with lid, was made in Japan and is hand signed. The sugar bowl is believed to be bone china and is in excellent, pre owned condition. There are no scratches, chips, cracks or repairs. The outside does show some wear on the enamel paint. Please see photos for details on condition. The artist detailed intricate and delicate designs, hatchmarks and scenes in pale pinks, blues, greens, red, brown and gold with tiny moriage (tiny bumps). The lid of the bowl was enameled in a continuation of the design on the bowl. The sugar bowl measures 6 3/4"W from handle to handle and stands 4 1/2"H. *This item is a pre owned item. It may have condition issues due to age, handling, etc. I am not an expert. I try my utmost to give an accurate representation of the item. Occasionally, I may miss something (age, condition, materials). I strive for 100% customer satisfaction. Please contact me with any questions or requests for additional photos prior to purchase. IF YOU ARE NOT 100% SATISFIED UPON DELIVERY, THE ITEM CAN BE RETURNED, WITHIN 30 DAYS OF PURCHASE. **All items are sourced from antique shops, thrift shops, estate and tag sales, auctions, and friends and family. When the provenance of an item is known, it will always be mentioned. Each piece is thoroughly inspected and rated from excellent pre owned condition (no wear visible) to good pre owned condition (some obvious wear). Each piece is cleaned/dusted as appropriate (always leaving any natural patina on surface).
