Combining various collage materials, textures, and acrylic paint, Laurie produces bold, innovative paintings, suitable for both residential and commercial settings. Starting as a textile designer, Laurie first became a resident artist at the Farmington Valley Arts Center, in Connecticut, and in 1981, she became a resident artist at the Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria, Virginia, where she currently has her studio.
