NIB Greenlight Indianapolis 500 Official Pace Car 1986 Corvette 1:24 Die Cast - Silver 1986 marked the return of the convertible to the Corvette line-up, and the return of the Corvette to the Indianapolis 500. As with the first Corvette Pace Car from 1978, the 1986 needed no mechanical modifications to pace the race. Retired Air Force General Chuck Yeager was selected to drive the car. While a yellow version paced the 1986 Indianapolis 500, all 7,315 1986 convertibles were designated as pace car replicas, regardless of color, and included decal packages to be installed by the dealer or customer.
