Vintage original 8 x 10 in. US single-weight glossy photograph from the 1960s underwater-themed sci-fi drama, THE UNDERWATER CITY, released in 1962 by Columbia Pictures and directed by Frank McDonald. The image depicts cast member William Lundigan (right) as he directs the members of his underwater engineering crew in securing the leg support for the first cell of the new city beneath the sea. Affixed to the verso is the original paper snipe that describes the image. T This photograph was used for publication in a newspaper and features the corresponding clipping affixed to the verso along with a date stamp of SUN APR 16 1961 when it was acquired by the newspaper. It is in fine- condition as shown with grease pencil marks in the top border and some light waviness around the areas where the newspaper clipping was affixed.
