Item description

Vintage original 8 x 9.75 in. US double-weight glossy photograph from the 1970s prostitution-themed drama, PRETTY BABY, released in 1978 by Paramount Pictures and directed by Louis Malle, in which a teenage girl lives as a prostitute in New Orleans in 1917. The image depicts a close shot of the film's star, Brooke Shields, as young Violet. Affixed to the bottom of the verso (which has subsequently come loose) is the original paper snipe that describes the image. It is untrimmed in very fine condition as shown. Provenance: The Hearst Los Angeles Herald Examiner newspaper archive.
