Brand new factory sealed vhs tape is perfect for old tube TVs as the full screen image will fill your square frame. Retro pop-n-go video also has no fussy menus to contend with either.
Refreshing but familiar story of rags to riches, overnight success, the on-stage breakdown and, of course, the big comback. But it does so in wonderfully human terms. Due most of all by Spacek's performance which earned her the Academy Award for best actress.
Here she ages from about fourteen to somewhere in her thirties. And it's all very convincing with little or no make-up. The movie is mostly about her relationship with her husband Mooney (Tommy Lee Jones) and her first close show-business friend mentor, Patsy Cline.
The most entertaining scenes in the movie are in the middle, after the coal mines and before the Top 40, when Loretta and Mooney are tooling around the back roads trying to convince country disc jockeys to play her records.
