Item description
Vintage mid century original print by Peggy Christgau, limited edition 4/8 titled "One, Two, Three". The text in the print reads: " One, two, three, humanity is out. Chessman played it cool. J.F.C." Signed, titled, and numbered with pencil. The print highly likely refers to the case of Caryl Chessman which resulted in a heated battle between proponents and opponents of capital punishments in the USA in general and California in particular in 1950s. Print is framed in a solid wood frame painted black, single matted, glass. It is in a overall good condition with two discolorations on the black background (see photos). No water marks, no cracks in the glass. Minor wear of the frame. The frame is 18.5" X 14 3/8". The print is sealed, original frame.
Peggy Chrisgau was a SF Bay Area artist in 1950s -1970s.
Note: we sell vintage items that were pre-owned and used. They may have signs of wear. This is not a defect but a natural character of a used product. I try to provide honest descriptions as detailed as possible. I ask my buyers to carefully read description, examine pictures, and ask questions prior to placing an order to avoid returns, losses, and disappointment for both of us. Thank you.
