This is a professionally handcrafted machine sewn Medieval Parti-colored Shield Banner can be used for hanging on your castle wall or favorite medieval tent for reenactments at SCA events. The colors as shown are a bright yellow, blue, red, white and black. It is made with wool felt and a a muslin backside and has some machine sewn embroidered stitching on the hanging tabs and on across the top. In the center is a brass metal button that shows a medieval knight's helm and coat-of-arms shield. It also has a gold twisted cord trim embellishment and a single gold tassel. It has been previously owned and used as a pin holder for various Renaissance events. This is a one-of-a-kind banner and has not been commercially reproduced. CONDITION: It is in excellent condition never having been used outdoors, but does show a few tiny pin hole stains on the yellow portion where the Ren-pins were hung. The muslin fabric on the back also shows some watermarks when trying to clean some of the spots from the front, but might be able to be dry-cleaned out. However the backside is not the main view of this banner since it hangs against the wall. It measures approximately 32" inches from top of tabs to the bottom of the tassel and 19" inches wide.
