Item description
Hand-blown in 1986 by Northern California artist Ed Castello, this beautiful cobalt vase holds a special place in our collection. We knew Ed and his family personally and were deeply saddened by his passing last year. This specific tall piece is incredibly special to us because we were present in his studio and actually watched him create it. The process—seeing Ed turn raw molten glass into this gorgeous art piece—was truly inspiring and amazing to witness. We encourage everyone: never miss an opportunity to watch glassblowing artists at work; it is a truly mesmerizing craft!
