Item description
ANOTHER SKY
by Naomi Lane Babson.
New York: Harcourt, Brace and Company, (1956).
First edition, first printing.
"First edition" statement to the copyright page, $3.50 to the jacket's flap.
The author's fifth novel is set in the 1820s, and involves a sea journey to the enchanted Sandwich Islands, a ship captain, a Reverend, missionaries, and two young ladies who learn to embrace a life philosophy of island nature.
Upper corner tips very lightly bumped, else very nearly fine in blue linen over red speckled slate-gray boards with red and blue embossed titles to spine; in a very nearly fine dust jacket with three scene illustrations by Edwin Schmidt, with minute crimps to the upper front corner tip and to the upper and lower spine edges.
