In 1898 the Manner house produced and sold its own cocoa for the first time. Back then it was offered both as pure cocoa powder and as a mixture of cocoa and sugar. Then as now, Manner chocolate is made from the bean in the in-house roaster in Vienna. For this reason Manner drinking cocoa has the typical Manner chocolate taste.
