Finally, 'Suzie Gold' (2004) is set in North London and stars Summer Phoenix as 20-something Jewish London girl Suzie Gold. Suzie finds herself torn between Anthony (Iddo Goldberg), the nice Jewish boy with a good job that her family approves of, and Darren (Leo Gregory), her non-Jewish boyfriend. Suzie's relationship with Darren comes to an end when she finds herself unable to take him home to meet her family, worried that he won't match up to their expectations. As the pressure builds for Suzie to tie the knot with Anthony, and she can't get Darren out of her mind, Suzie begins to question her role in life, and has to re-define herself outside her family and the traditions that have always been an integral part of her life.
