Item description
This is a vintage 1924 Triangle Records shellac 78 of the Byron Girls, Dot and Ethel, performing "In a Little Rendezvous" accompanied by Bob Lindholm, song # 11014B on Side A and "Charley My Boy", on side B, song #11015 B. The Triangle Recording is # 11420-A. This must be a very rare record as I have not been able to find another one. Triangle, of Pittsburgh, PA operated between 1922 and 1925. According to the references below, the Triangle label was used by BD M (Bridgeport Die and Machine) and NYRL (New York Recording Laboratories) for pressing special and private records. I have also not been able to locate other records by Dot Ethel Byron. My family inherited the antique record from an elderly couple more than 35 years ago. I suspect they had inherited it from their family. The original paper sleeve is missing and the record was found inside the period Victor sleeve. The sleeve has many tears and bends but as its also likely 100 years old, that isn't surprising. I have no way of playing the record to see if it still works so it is sold as is. It does appear to be in good condition but needs cleaning. (See Photos)
