Description:
The American Magazine of Useful and Entertaining Knowledge? was a monthly periodical established to give the general public a view into a wide variety of subjects including zoology, natural landscapes, educational institutions, banks and hospitals, modern inventions and technology, and much more. While the magazine only had a short lifespan, it was quite popular in the New England area, much in part to the profusely illustrated volumes.
This volumes features articles and essays from the October 1836 work, many of which include highly interesting topics. This work includes piano music of popular tunes, stories on ancient Egypt and the pyramids, the excavation of Pompeii, content on early Native Americans, and the establishment and expansion of the American Railroad system.
Hardcover, Size: 11 x 7 x 1 Inches- 246 pages.
Condition:
Acceptable to Good only! As is often seen on antique History books!
Externally: Good Condition.
The binding connecting pages are intact.
Binding: Leather; tight and secure.
Internally: Acceptable Condition.
There are some spotting, browning, wear and tears.
Pages are moderately toned.
Please Note:
This Book is NOT in EXCELLENT Condition, but still is in Acceptable to Good condition for it age from 1836 VERY RARE item!!!
