Item description
THE RHINOCEROS WHO QUOTED NIETZCHE:
And Other Odd Acquaintances
by Peter S. Beagle.
Introduction by Patricia A. McKillip.
San Francisco: Tachyon Publications, (1997).
First edition, first printing, Limited.
One of one-hundred SIGNED, hardcover copies.
SIGNED by the Hugo and Nebula Award-winning author, and hand-numbered 15 to the title page.
Additionally inscribed "For Richard" and SIGNED by Beagle to the half-title page.
"First edition December 1997" statement and first printing number code sequence 1 through 0 to the copyright page.
A collection of three novelettes, four short stories, and five essays that include themes of a unicorn, a werewolf, equal rights, heroes, and D.H. Lawrence.
Barely noticeable, minute pressure bump to the lower shelf-edges, else very nearly fine and tight in semi-glossy, textured black imitation leather boards with gilt embossed titles to the spine, black-and-white headband and tail-band, sewn-in yellow-gold silk ribbon marker; in a very nearly fine dust jacket that sits slightly taller than the book, bears a faint crimp to the upper shelf-edge of the rear panel, with front panel art by Michael Dashow.
