Item description
A MAN IN THE ZOO
by David Garnett
London: Chatto Windus, 1924.
First edition.
Illustrated with charming wood-cut engravings by R.A. Garnett.
The third novel, (after the allegorical fantasy LADY INTO FOX) by a multi-award winning, major Bloomsbury Group author, founder of the Nonesuch Press, and author of ASPECTS OF LOVE, adapted by Andrew Lloyd Weber to a musical.
This delightful short novel is spiced with humor, satire, poetry, metaphors, a trip to the zoo, animals, relationships, and the enjoyment of being a couple.
Some uniform fading to the covers, mild soil spots to the front cover, rub-wear to the lower spine end, tanning to the end-papers as usual, else about very good in burgundy and black patterned boards with black titles to a lightly scratched tan spine label, upper page edges gilt; lacking a dust jacket.
Octavo; 94 pages.
