Item description
History of the American People, was first published in 1911. Muzzey was a graduate of Union Theological Seminary and became a Professor at Columbia University.
Taken from the Preface: "This book is not a revision of the author's revised "American History." but a new high-school text written in response to the request of many teachers for a fuller treatment of our history, especially of its social and economic phases in the last few decades. Approximately one half of the book deals with the period since the Civil War, and more than one half of that half is devoted to our history in the twentieth century.".
