Depictions of Greek and Italian coastline communities of a romantic vision, yet using an exacting and detail oriented style, she has captured the imagination of art collectors nationwide. Born in Chicago, Chase studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She moved to Northern California, and began to paint scenic shoreline images, focusing on the rugged natural beauty of the coast. Later travels throughout the Mediterranean, Black, and Aegean Seas inspired her new series.
