Item description
THIRTY PIECES OF SILVER
by Clarence Budington Kelland
New York and London: Harper Brothers Publishers, 1913
First edition, first printing.
In vivid purple cloth with gilt lettering, blind-embossed decoration, and silver-stamped coin device; dust jacket.
Fine; in a lightly worn, edge-nicked very good plus dust jacket, that shows some tanning to the spine and rear panel.
Lovely example of this slender inspirational tale about an atheist who reaches enlightenment through the vehicle of an ancient coin, which sends him back in time where he must play the role of Judas and betray Jesus Christ.
The book was also issued in four different shades of leather.
Illustrated.
Listed in Bleiler.
