Item description
BEHOLD, THY BROTHER
by Murrell Edmunds
New York: The Beechhurst Press, 1950
First edition, first printing.
Small brown label to the front endpaper, a few tiny white stains to the covers, else very good plus in blue cloth; in a very good, shelfworn illustrated dust jacket with minor chipping to the crown of the spine and corner tips, and tears and associated creasing to the shelf extremities.
Slim octavo (80 pages).
"Team with a failing pitching staff late in the 1945 pennant race has a black pitcher thrust on them by the owner's liberal son. The manager tries to avoid using him, but eventually must. He wins the pennant clincher."--McCue, BASEBALL BY THE BOOKS.
In our experience of over 35 years of collecting and selling baseball literature, this is the most difficult adult baseball novel to acquire.
