Item description

THE DIVERS' GAME by Jesse Ball. New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 2017. First edition, first printing. "First edition" statement and first printing number code sequence 10 through 1 to the copyright page, $26.99 and date code 0919 printed to the jacket's flap. Independent bookstore's author photo-illustrated First Editions Club card, laid in. SIGNED and dated 2019 to the title page by the Guggenheim Fellowship, Plimpton, Gordon Burn, and Berlin Prize winning, and National Book Award longlisted author. This novel earned a National Book Critics Circle Award finalist, a Man Booker Prize longlist, and a Hindu Literary Prize shortlist. With a spare writing style compared with Kafka, Borges, and Calvino, Ball writes a dystopian novel of extreme inequality in which the upper class society has the right to do anything, including murder, to members of the lower class. A nice Signed collectible. Fine, square, crisp, and tight in black textured boards, with silver embossed titles to the spine, black headband and tail-band; in a fine dust jacket; original printed $26.99 price and date code 0919 still intact to the front inner flap. NO remainder mark. PLEASE VIEW OUR STORE FOR MORE GREAT SIGNED LITERARY BOOKS THANKS!
