Item description

? This lotus flower candle holder is made of capiz sea shells, hand crafted painstakingly to create a lovely work of art. The time-intensive handcrafting process requires harvesting, soaking, softening, cutting and bending each shell. The pieces are then artfully arranged in a hand-painted metal frame. Place a tealight candle inside and watch as the capiz petals gracefully flicker. ? This lotus flower candle holder measures 2.25" tall and 4.25" in diameter approximately. Each piece weighs about 2 ounces. ? The lotus flower bears significant meanings in different cultures around the world. The lotus flower predominantly symbolizes love, humility and longevity across the globe. ? In religion, the lotus (padme) is an important symbol in Tibetan Buddhism and is commonly associated with the process of becoming a buddha. In Tibetan Buddhist iconography, buddhas are often seated on lotus thrones, indicating their transcendent state. A lotus is born in the muck and mud at the bottom of a swamp, but when it emerges on the surface of the water and opens its petals, a beautiful flower appears, unstained by the mud from which it arose. ? This is an Ebros exclusive collection.
