SUMMARY BRAND NEW Factory (OEM) Hyundai Delco CD drive This is NOT a complete radio Has NEVER been in a vehicle!! Works on some am/fm/CD radios like the one pictured below You must open your radio to confirm you have this drive though Looks like the CD drive pictured above A GREAT way to replace a CD drive that has went bad on you. Not compatible with the CD6 radio (am/fm radio with built-in 6 CD changer) Plays standard audio format CDs and CDRs Plays MP3 audio format CDRs if you have that feature now Will NOT trigger the THEFT system (Plug your radio back in and go.) Requires removal of radio from the vehicle (Do not attempt with radio connected) Requires re-using your control board (Unless you add the board below) Do not attempt this repair with the radio still plugged in! 6 month warranty DETAILS If you've got a vehicle from the Compatibility List with a radio that gives you errors or will not load or eject CDs (or perhaps it does so noisily), this is likely the CD drive you need. However, this is for single CD radios only. If you've got a LOAD button, you have a CD6 radio and it takes a different drive. This drive should work in radios like those pictured below. HOWEVER, it is up to you to pop the top of your radio case off and confirm it is the same drive you have. APPLICATIONS Santa Fe: 2007-2008 Here is a radio that often used this drive, but make sure to open your radio and compare the top of the drive to the one pictured above because other drives are possible: Not a listing for a radio. This is a CD drive ONLY! ADDITIONAL INFO In rare instances, you may find that replacing the drive does not solve your problem. Occasionally the control board on the bottom of the drive is defective and, if this is the case, replacing the drive will not change anything. You must replace the board too. This is very rare but we do see it a couple times out of every 100 purchases. If you want to add the board now, to be safe, it is available too. Please contact us for more info. Assembly is fairly easy but we do not include written instructions. You will have to remove the top plate from the radio and the screws holding the drive in the radio. Some screws might be behind the face, which would require you to remove it. This drive comes without the control board on the bottom but this is VERY easily swapped from your defective drive. There are two small phillips screws and two ribbon cables with quick dis-connects. You will also need to remove the bracket from the back of your defective drive and swap it to the new one. This is also VERY easy, as it's just two 3/16 hex screws. Do not attempt this repair with the radio still plugged in! This is your one and only caution regarding this.
