Item description
Natural Uranium Rock
COFFINITE
Weight: 1.5 oz (small)
Radiation: 31,700 CPM (midrange)
$18.00 plus $9.50 shipping
This rock was found at Uravan Colorado, June
2021. The Uravan CO uranium field was the
first to be developed in the USA. During the
1920s, French-Polish nuclear scientist Marie
Curie, visited Uravan CO to instruct the miners
how to identify the rocks that contain uranium or
radium. RADIUM is three million times more
radioactive than natural uranium. Small amounts
of radium were used because this isotope glows in
darkness; in the mid-1920s, glowing liquid paint
was sold, with the trademarked brand name of
"UNDARK."
Radioactive rocks like this one can ONLY be
mailed to buyers who have USA postal addresses,
because of a restrictive strict regulation of the
federal Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).
