Item description
THEY BOTH WERE NAKED
by Philip Wylie
Garden City, New York: Doubleday Company, Inc., 1965.
First edition, first printing.
Upper spine mildly creased, lower corner tip bumped, minor stain to the lower page fore-edges, else near fine in publisher's black linen with gilt embossed titles and borders to a blue panel to the spine, dark blue end-papers, blue-and-white headband and tail-band; in a very good plus dust jacket with modest edge wear and rubbing; original printed $5.95 price still intact to the front inner flap.
Wylie looks at power, greed, big industry, desires, affluent social circles, forbidden vices, philosophy and morality in this novel based on the research he did for a biography of a big-business man.
