Item description
This is for a rare vintage anti-theft Mercedes hood Star ornament. I haven't seen one of these in a very long time. A removable hood ornament is great for car washes, car covers, traveling or leaving your car out over night.
The Star has been modified with a heavy brass stem that mates to a tight friction-fit receiver in the base. Pull up to remove, push in to install. Installation of the base is also a breeze(one single nut) compared to everything involved with spring loaded units.
