Rare Norah Wellings 1930's DuDu Black African Islander Girl 14" Doll Vintage
Pretty Good for 1930s. She has a loose string on her toe. She has 3 of 4 of her ankle wrist rings. She has her earrings. Missing part of her back hoops on her necklace. This doll is in untouched condition. Some felt missing from her nose and cheeks. Some paint cracking on her mouth as expected for her age. Unwashed. Some dust.
This doll is a wonderful example of Wellings?s pioneering work in soft?sculpture dolls, produced for Chad Valley and prized by collectors worldwide.
