The Lions represent the England. Three lions for England, Normandy, and Aquitaine. The Fleur-De-Lis represents many things; among these are purity, the Holy Trinity, a sixth sons symbol in heraldry and a symbol of the throne of France. In this case the Fleur-De-Lis represent England's claim to the throne of France. It was not until George III that the Fleur-De-Lis was removed from the royal coat of arms of England. This is a coat of arms used during the 14th century. The Shield is beautifully detailed with solid steel fittings and aged finish with golden veins. The shield is easily mounted and has the ability to mount most sized swords behind it. [Dimensions] Width: 17.25" Length: 24.75" [Materials] The Shield is Stainless Steel. [Decorations] The Shield features three passant guardant lions, four Fleur-De-Lis, and a lion head in the center of the coat of arms. The back ground is painted white and red with an aged finish. [Display] For easy display the shield has a steel chain. The shield also features an adjustable sword mount to display a sword behind the shield.
