1963 Vintage Postcard QSL Card WA8BXJ with 1964 Pontiac Artwork Line Drawing Art
Dated December 29, 1963 this card, Published by Pontiac, as an announcement of the "Brand New 1964 Pontiac Models", "Two Kinds of Pontiac's for All Kinds of People" (funny how they just keep rehashing old slogans 50 years later... in 2013).The front of the card features black and white line drawing of the front views of the two new 1964 Pontiac's, one has two headlights side by side, the other have two vertical headlights, and clearly one is larger than the other, (back in the day of Big Beast Sedans-which we miss). The card is a standard postcard weight card stock, with a semi-gloss sheen, and although the front is white with only minor discoloration, the back seems to have discolored to a yellowish tan.CONDITION: Fairly good condition, no pinholes, creases, smudges or stains, minimal wear at edges, and of course the corners suffered the most, but wear is minimal. The 5 cent coil Jefferson postage stamp is in good condition with only faint cancellation lines. The postmark, although not clear, you can still make out "DE" (as in Dearborn) and "CH" (as in MICH) although we zoomed on the year in the postmark and it looks like 1 9 5 3 Maybe if we could find "Radio Rick" from Michigan, we could ask him.
