When creating 2-drop even count peyote stitch designs, I often turn to ethnic, tribal, or spiritual motifs for my inspiration. This pattern is based on a section of a large mandala. The word Mandala means 'sacred circle' and is derived from the word 'mandra' which means 'container of the essence'. For this bracelet, I chose metallic dark cinnamon beads to "draw" the mandala on a semi-matte honey background.

The nearly 2,000 small beads are handwoven (without a loom), 2 beads at a time, using a technique called 2-drop peyote stitch. The technique gives the bracelet a lovely drape & feel, almost like fabric.

Measurements: 1" (2.5cm) wide, 7" (17.8cm) long, including the bronze-tone tube slide clasp.
