This piggy bank has all the characteristics of a Pearl China Co. piggy bank and is also marked on the bottom PEARL CHINA CO. USA.  The Pearl China Company, known primarily as a selling company, had a direct connection with Pioneer Pottery Company from the mid 1930s to 1958 in East Liverpool, Ohio.  It was not uncommon for a selling company to have control of or own a pottery company in order to expand its product line.

Large red flowers with green centers and leaves are painted on a white background. The facial features, 'feet' and tail are all painted red.  Due to handling, age, and painting process some paint has rubbed off.  The bottoms of the feet are a little rough but other than that there are no chips nor cracks.  One for the collector.

The measurements are: 6 1/2 inches long, 3 1/4 inches wide, approximately 3 inches tall.
