The Poultry Cross, Salisbury, UK
Standing in the medieval cathedral city of Salisbury, Wiltshire, you will see many similar crosses in the towns and cities of the UK.They were built to shelter traders selling their wares during medieval times, and more often than not, the name of such crosses indicates what was sold there ! So bring your chickens !
My pencil drawing shows the last remaining cross in Salisbury , and should you come here, make sure you visit the 13th century Cathedral, which has the tallest spire in the UK, the oldest working clock [ 14th century, so 650 years old, - you can stand right next to it ], and houses an original Magna Carta [ 1215 ], and although protected by glass, you can view it from literally a couple of feet.
See and be close to the history of Old England. Touch buildings etc that are 7 to 800 years old or more.
I post this to you unframed, Special Delivery Tracked, in a boarded envelope, wrapped in plastic for extra protection.
