**Japan Yame (Hoshino Village) Sencha - Loose Leaf Green Tea**
This traditional Japanese Sencha green loose leaf tea is from a Yame-Hoshino tea garden in Fukuoka Prefecture.
Hoshino Village of Yame District is very well known for producing excellent quality green leaf teas and this tea is no exception.
Tea Notes:
Dry Tea Leaf Appearance: Thin needle-like shape with rich, dark green, leaf color and yellow hues.
Dry Tea Leaf Aroma: Mildly vegetal, mountain stream, and mild toasty notes.
Tea Liquor: Light greenish-yellow.
Tea Taste: Pleasant vegetal-like notes with deliciously deep, sweet, taste and smooth lingering finish that tantalizes the taste buds.
Comments: This is an all day, everyday, time of green tea that can be consumed hot or iced as a naturally refreshing and invigorating tea that has delicious nuances! It can keep its deep taste for up to at least three subsequent infusions.
Keep water temperatures low initially and steeping times very short to experience the savory flavors that this tea has to offer.
Steeping Tips:
1) Bring fresh, cold water; filtered, reverse osmosis, or spring water (best) to a boil.
2) Set boiled water aside for ~ 5 minutes.
3) Add ~4 grams of premium sencha tea leaves to your favorite tea vessel. (250 ml)
4) Pour medium-hot water (~165° F/74°C) over the tea leaves.
5) Steep time is ~25 seconds on the first infusion. Extend steeping times on subsequent infusions to 15 second increments or to your preferred taste habits.
