New Takane 4/4 Westminster Chime Pendulum Movement

This is a brand new movement, made by Takane. Can power up to 10" long hands. It has a Westminster chime that chimes as follows: 1/4 of the chime at 15 min., 1/2 of the chime at 30min., 3/4 of the chime at 45min. and a full chime and counting strike on the hour. The case size is: 3"W x 4-9/16"H x 1-1/4" Deep. Shaft diameter is 7/16". Softer volume. Great for mounting on the back of a clock that is open. Please be aware that if you mount this inside a solid wood clock case the volume may be too low to hear. There is no volume control knob.

There are 4 different shaft lengths to choose from:
  • Extra Short = threaded shaft length of 5/16", overall length of 5/8"
  • Short = threaded shaft length of 7/16", overall length of 3/4"
  • Long = threaded shaft length of 11/16", overall length of 1"
  • Extra Long = threaded shaft length of 15/16", overall length of 1-1/4"

This movement comes with all mounting hardware and instructions. Movement has a rear hand set knob for setting the time and requires 1 'C' battery (not included). It has an attached, enclosed tube speaker on the top of the movement. This movement can run up to a 29" pendulum with a light weight metal rod and bob. The bob should be no more than 4.5"-5" in diameter. Please be aware that this movement cannot run the larger wood stick pendulums or Lyre pendulums used on Grandfather and Grandmother floor clocks. We recommend our empty pendulum case (code#MCA-25) or our Heavy Duty Pendulum Drive Mechanism (code#MPD-80) if your are running a larger fancy Lyre pendulum. If you want to run a single hook wood stick pendulum with a larger bob we recommend our German Chime Movement (MPC-320). For $2.00 more you can request a pendulum in the drop down menu above. The pendulum rod is 16" long and is perforated every 1" on the back so you can bend/snap it to the length you need before sliding on the bob. We also have Non-Pendulum version in our store. (The second picture shows our non-pendulum version but we took a picture of the side so you can see the speaker wiring that is on both the non-pendulum and pendulum versions).
