Vintage Fisher Price Little People #2502 Airport Complete/EXC+++-NEAR MINT!

Vintage Fisher Price Little People #2502 Airport Complete/ EXC+++-NEAR MINT! (More photos below)

Here for your consideration is an AWESOME Fisher Price Little People Airport (#2502). Manufactured between 1986-90, this set is 100% COMPLETE and in EXC++-NEAR MINT condition!

The set consists of a one piece building that features an attached control tower, ticket window, gift shop, restrooms, and passenger drop off area. Although you can barely see it in my pictures, the passenger drop off area has a red barricade that can be lowered to regulate the traffic flow. The roof has a crank that when you turn it, the blades of the helicopter spin and the red radar screen rotates.

All of the EXTERIOR and INTERIOR lithos are bright, and crisp without any stains, marks, or fading etc.. The ONLY "imperfections" I can spy are:

1. A smidgen of dirt on the cloud litho above the boy Traffic Controller's head;

2. A pin-head size rub on the edge between the boy and girl Traffic Controllers;

3. One, barely perceptible vertical crease in the flower bed on the Coffee Shop litho; you really have to be searching to see this; I daresay most people would not even see it if I hadn't mentioned it;

4. Some miniscule wear on the upper edge of the main Fisher Price logo; this wear is about the width of a human hair;

5. One scrape/tear on the boy's bathroom door litho; this is approximately 1/4" L x 1/4" W; and

6. One, almost invisible, 1/2" vertical bubble on the rear boy Traffic Controller litho.

I'm being super "nit-picky." I don't want any of my customers to be disappointed by their purchases from me. I have tried to take some close up pictures so that you can see these "imperfections" yourself. Overall, I would rate the INTERIOR and EXTERIOR lithos as being in EXC++-NEAR MINT condition.

All of the plastic surfaces still possess their original bright coloration. I cannot detect any discolorations, fading, abrasions, or chips. After repeated inspections, I cannot find ANY "imperfections" other than a miniscule "ding" on the white collar housing the revolving red radar screen and another pin-head size "ding" on the edge of the roof above the Lucky litho. That is it! All of the moving parts (e.g. red radar screen, helicopter blades, red barricade arm) operate as designed. In addition, there are NO CRACKS at the base of the radar screen and the original gas pump hose and nozzle are present and FREE of any chews! In my opinion, the plastic surfaces of this base are in NEAR MINT-MINT condition.

Accompanying this FABULOUS base, are some EXCEPTIONAL accessories. These consist of:

1 VHTF yellow/orange/white jet without its original pull string (EXC++--door DOES stay closed during aerial maneuvers! Both tail lithos are fully intact and brightly colored and free of any marks or stains. The litho on the left side of the plane exhibits some minor bubbling on the top and bottom of the litho along with a couple of thin, vertical creases. The right hand litho exhibits a 1" L scuff and one, barely discernible vertical crease. You literally have to hold the plane up within 3" of your eyes and rotate it in the light to see this. The plane itself shows a few extraneous marks but I believe these will come off during the cleaning process. I do NOT spy any yellowing around the passenger windows or on the body of the plane. There is little, if any, "road wear" on the wheels. Finally, the plane still makes a "whirring" sound when rolled on the floor; if this plane possessed its original pull string, I would rate it as being in NEAR MINT-MINT condition);

1 VHTF yellow/blue helicopter w/blue rotor blades and white triangles (NEAR MINT-MINT--few light surface scratches on top blades; helicopter has maintained its bright, glossy finish);

1 HTF yellow/blue tug car (NEAR MINT--light surface scratches and a some dulling of the wheel hubs; these wheel hubs should brighten up considerably following a generous application of Naval Jelly);

1 HTF blue/yellow fuel car with hose and nozzle (NEAR MINT--some minor scuffs around the edges of the round protrusions on top of the tanker; otherwise, MINTY MINT);

1 HTF yellow baggage cart (MINT);

1 green/white 2 seat passenger car with baggage rack and Fisher Price written on its wheels (EXC++-NEAR MINT--a few light surface scratches and a small amount of rust on a couple of the wheel hubs; this should come off nicely with an application of Naval Jelly);

2 HTF small orange coffee tables (1 NEAR MINT with some light surface scratches; the other evidences a couple of light scuffs--EXC++);

4 HTF, chocolate brown captain's chairs with triangles (3 are in NEAR MINT condition; the other is in VG++ condition with some edge wear on the front of the seat; NOTE: The 1990 version of this play set only included 2 chairs);

1 VHTF round blue luggage (EXC--couple of teensy "nibbles" on sides of luggage and handle);

1 VHTF square brown luggage (MINT);

and 7 all plastic characters. These include:

1 VHTF tall, light blue flight attendant with blonde hair (MINTY MINT--NOTE: The flight attendant was eliminated from the 1990 version of this play set; also, this particular flight attendant is what many collectors call a "Whitey." Sometimes, the FP factory employees did not pour enough flesh-colored ingredients into their plastic mix; as a result, the faces of these Little People ended up being very light skinned or "whitey white;" these are often coveted by collectors);

1 VHTF tall, blue bodied African -American pilot (NEAR MINT---slight roughness around perimeter of hat; NO CHEWS);

1 short, blue bodied Caucasian pilot (NEAR MINT--slight roughness on the tip of the hat brim; NOTE: FP cut back to 1 pilot in 1990; they also eliminated the radar screen and barrier arm of the Airport);

1 HTF tall, green bodied Dad with black molded hair (MINTY MINT);

1 tall, blue bodied Mom with blonde pony (NEAR MINT--two, tiny "nibbles" on pony and some minor roughness on the bottom of the piece; you literally have to hold this figure up to within 3" of your eyes and rotate it in the light before you can spot the "nibbles." The roughness on the bottom of the piece I detected via touch.);

1 VHTF short, yellow bodied boy with brown molded hair (EXC++-NEAR MINT---this little boy is in PERFECT condition except the lower edge of his "middle" protrudes out slightly; this is a factory fluke; I'm sure somebody can cut off this excess plastic using small toenail clippers or scissors; due to the unsteadiness of my hands, I'm going to leave this alteration up to the new owner); and

1 VHTF short, coral bodied girl with brown sculpted hair (EXC--rub on center of nose along with a couple of tiny indentations on her hair on the right hand side; these were probably caused by a child's teeth; there is also a little bit of roughness on the edge of her hair on the left hand side of her head; I cannot discern any teeth marks on this side however).

I will be thoroughly cleaning this set with a myriad of cleaning products (e.g. Goo Gone, Soft Scrub w/anti-bacterial ingredients, Mr. Clean's Magic Eraser, Crayon Away, Oops, Comet, Dawn dishwashing detergent, Armor All etc.) and a child's toothbrush, toothpicks, and Q-tips. This airport and all of its accessories will be spotless and ready to go! All you will need to do is unpack the set and play with it or put it on display:)

This would make a FABULOUS Fisher Price play set for an avid Fisher Price Collector or some lucky child!!! What a great piece to have at Grandma's house when the grandchildren come to visit.

NOTE: These VINTAGE Fisher Price play sets were manufactured in the USA. They are NOT a part of the recent recall of Fisher Price toys that were manufactured in China and contained excess lead.

Due to some of the small pieces, these toys should not be given to a child under 3 years of age or one who is still mouthing their toys.

This particular base and its accessories weighs @4 lbs. UNWRAPPED. My location is Lafayette, IN (47905).

I'm finding Fed Ex Home Delivery has been running @33% cheaper than either the USPS or UPS Ground---especially for oversized packages, those over 5 lbs. in weight, or those traveling longer distances.

THEREFORE, PLEASE CONTACT ME BEFORE YOU CHECK OUT. I WILL CHECK ALL THE CARRIERS AND VERIFY YOUR CORRECT SHIPPING FEE. I charge the ACTUAL shipping rate. I do not pad my quotes with handling or materials fees.

PayPal is the preferred manner of payment. All payments are due within 5 business days of the listing's conclusion.

I also accept bank-issued Cashier's Checks and Postal Money Orders. Due to my bank's policies, I am unable to ship your item until these forms of payment clear my bank (usually within 3 business days). Please contact me if you would like to pay via a Cashier's Check or a Postal Money Order.

The price listed is for the item itself. The total amount due will be the purchase price of the item + the ACTUAL shipping cost to deliver your item to you. All shipping costs or extra fees (in the case of Canadian shipments) are the responsibility of the buyer. I will do everything in my power to find you the cheapest shipping rate—-whether it’s the USPS (First Class, Parcel, or Priority), Fed Ex, or UPS. I DO NOT PAD MY SHIPPING COSTS—-NEVER HAVE AND NEVER WILL! I SHIP WITHIN 48 HOURS OF A CLEARED PAYMENT.

I primarily utilize Fed Ex Home Delivery for items exceeding 5 lbs. in weight, measuring greater than 12 inches in any dimension, or traveling longer distances. I’ve been finding Fed Ex has been running @33% cheaper than the USPS (including Parcel Post) and UPS Ground. FYI, another benefit of using either Fed Ex or UPS is that their quote includes up to $100 worth of FREE insurance. Additional amounts of insurance may be purchased for a nominal fee (that is much less than the USPS). Fed Ex also provides automated tracking updates re: your parcel’s whereabouts directly to your personal e-mail account.

In order to ship Fed Ex (or UPS for that matter), I MUST have a residential or work place address, NOT a P.O. Box number, as well as a home or cell phone. Otherwise, they will not accept the shipping paperwork or transport your item.

Since Bonanza's shipping calculator does NOT offer Fed Ex Home Delivery as a shipping option, PLEASE DO NOT SEND PAYMENT UNTIL I HAVE HAD AN OPPORTUNITY TO MANUALLY CHECK THESE RATES AND INSERT THEM INTO YOUR INVOICE. Otherwise, the shipping calculator may overcharge you.

Packages traveling to Alaska or Hawaii will be shipped Parcel Post via the USPS. Insurance and delivery confirmation are required.

I’m more than willing to combine multiple purchases into one box whenever it is safe to do so to decrease your shipping costs. Once again, PLEASE wait to check out until I can combine your purchases on ONE INVOICE and can calculate their combined shipping rate via Fed Ex. If you pay for these items separately, I get charged multiple transaction fees by PayPal plus you get over-charged on your shipping. Of course, I will refund you any amount over $1.00 that you've overpaid on shipping. However, it's easier on both of us if you wait until I can send you the correct amount.

I’m more than happy to ship selected play sets to Canada. Remember that shipping to Canada can be quite expensive so please contact me for a shipping quote before you purchase an item. I will attempt to find the cheapest shipping rate possible. Canadian customers will be responsible for any brokerage fees, Custom’s duties, or VAT’s imposed by your government. I am not responsible for these charges. Insurance is required for all international shipments.

Last, but not least, I offer a 10% discount for orders totaling $125.00 or more.

ALL SALES ARE FINAL. NO RETURNS ARE ACCEPTED. I have attempted to bring any noted "imperfections" to your attention prior to your purchasing the item. However, I'm only human. If I have missed something or you have a problem with your purchase, please contact me prior to leaving feedback.

Customer satisfaction is #1 for me. I try to provide outstanding service, high quality merchandise, and secure and expedient shipping.

Feedback is important and I will be happy to leave you feedback once I know everything has arrived safely and that you are pleased with your purchase. Leaving me feedback helps me gauge how well I'm doing and also serves the Bonanza community by directing them to sellers who proffer outstanding merchandise and service.
