Disc has a couple of light tiny scuffs with a store branded donut sticker in the center of the label side. Pre-viewed for quality and played fine, judging by the top, label side (a kazillion fine scratches) it has probably been polished once or twice. Letterboxed so newer TV owners will have to use one of your zoom modes. Out Of Print in all formats except pricey blu-ray.

Off-kilter tale of cannabilism in the American West in 1847 loosely based on the Donner Party incident. When skinny, shivering Colqhoun (Carlyle) shows up starving and nearly frozen at an army fort in the Sierra Nevadas, he tells Captain John Boyd (Pearce) that he was with a party that resorted to eating their dead while snowbound in the mountains.

When a team is sent to investigate, more than the facts are digested... This remains my favorite Western/Horror cross-over movie and comes highly recommended. I could say a lot more about it, but I'll leave the surprises to the viewer.
