Old growth cedar was often cut ten to 15 feet off the ground as the trees are often hollow at the base loggers would use springboards
This is great for various craft and modeling uses ,it fills a small flat rate box to approximately 90% capacity ,old growth will often have tighter grain as opposed to newer growth trees ,one of the blocks has two screw holes from some boat duck boards I built.
