Belonging to my neighbor's Grandfather, this VINTAGE, Marked, Mid-Century Pin is in EXCELLENT Condition, with NO damage; it comes from a smoke-free, pet-free home. It shows a White Enamel Cross above a White Enamel Bible with golden laurel leaves at the bottom on either side and rays of golden light shining against a Light Blue Enamel background. This "10K Gold Filled Cross & Bible Sunday School Attendance Award Lapel Scatter Starter Pin" was found in a box of assorted men’s jewelry, penknives, medals, awards, religious items, programs and other odds-and-ends bequeathed to my neighbor in 1991 when his grandfather passed away.  Getting ready to move to a smaller home, my neighbor has asked me to help him sell what he’s not taking with him.  Having a diameter of approximately 5/8ths of an inch, the Pin back also measures approximately 5/8ths of an inch long, works smoothly and holds securely; it is Marked on the back “Patented 1965862 LE - Concordia St. Louis”.  



Masterfully crafted with EXQUISITE enamel work and Cloisonne-style detailing, it is sure to impress.  Featuring raised lettering around the outside reading "Sunday School Award", the center shows a Cross over a Bible with golden rays spreading out towards golden laurel leaves. A high quality, finely crafted Pin, it features an attractive design.  There is a small circle on the bottom into which a number showing your “years” of perfect attendance is place - this Pin does NOT hold a number; the idea was to pop out the previous award and replace it annually.
