This is a Great Old Majolica Antique Mug that is marked on the base with a mark I can't make out and an "H" underneath - also has the # 1400 on base and again under top of handle on body of mug. The design is raised and textured from surface and depicts what looks like a Hunting Dog with a Bird or Rabbit or some other kind of prey in two of the panels and what looks like a Moose or Elk in the 3rd. Please see pictures close up so you can see the design - I may have the animals wrong - looks like it is a Hunting Motif though. It measures approx 4" tall and holds 20 oz and it is in overall good condition. It has a total of four tiny glaze chips in orange part of dogs - two on each - very minor and I don t' think it is in actual clay - just the glaze and color - easy fix to dab orange on but not really necessary - no other chips or cracks in mug.
