Stand
This is a New Custom Made Cart Stand - all metal parts are laser cut - precision made in a hi tech facility.
For side panels you can choose metal, or wood. Wood can be custom picked upon your choice and availability. Most common choices are - Redwood (Sapelli), A|merican Wallnut, Bubinga, Oak. Another option can be panels covered with veneer or budget option - stained plywood.
All cables can be routed through channels in the vertical posts - so that they are not visible
Wheels are by France by leading manufacturer TENTE.
Meter Bridge
Meter bridge enables any of Studer recorders (or any other recorder) without VU meters to have control of recording and playback levels. Calibrated or uncalibrated modes, VU meters can be switched between normal and "peak" modes, when ballistics of the meter are adjusted to show recording/playback peak values. Input section has also RCA inputs.
All parts are top quality with high standard schematics inside.
The VU meter indicator circuitry is a modified replica of the Studer A810 (also A812, A816) including a switchable standard VU meter mode and a peak program meter (PPM) mode. In addition, there is a switch to increase the sensitivity by 10dB. -10 VU mode is also useful when calibrating the recorder with a test tape where tones are recorded at a level of -10 dB below nominal and you do not have external audio frequency VU meter.
Our Mark 5 version has built in oscillator - generator of 1khHz and 10kHz sinus test tones for testing and calibration. Linear power supply available as option.
Unit's "0" value for VU meters is calibrated to "normal" Studer (studio standard) level - +4dB. "0" level can be adjusted to other values - if you want so.
All parts are top quality, schematics used are from top manufacturers. Operational Amplifiers are exchangeable - mounted in sockets. We use Texas Instruments INA137PA, DRV134PA.
In the input and output sections are additional RCA sockets. You can connect signal source which does not have XLR sockets.
Bracket of the meter bridge attaches to the existing attachment points (screw holes) of the recorder. This meter bridge does not require special side panels. Meter Bridge can be used either with original Studer stand or without stand - as a table top version. Connection wires can be hidden in the vertical post of the bridge. Connection to the signal source can be done either with RCA or XLR connecting wires.
