THE WORLD'S WIT AND HUMOR
Volume XIII -- Italian and Spanish & Volume XII - German
The Review of Reviews Co., First Editions, 1906
Condition: Very Good & Good+
These are part of a 15-volume encyclopedia of wit and humor, selected by an international board of editors. The selection of Italian and Spanish pieces (in English) includes Boccaccio, Cellini,
Cervantes and many others. This copy has creases across a few pages, the page edges are dusty and show some small stains and there's just a bit more modest wear. The hinges are okay and the book is unmarked. Goethe, Heine and the Brothers Grimm are among the authors in the German volume. The front cover was bent and is creased on both sides & there's a short related tear over the front hinge. There's also a small hole near the spine foot, a mark on the back cover and a bit more slight wear. Otherwise, both books look quite nice. No dust jackets.
